So I know I haven't updated in a while, and it's not from a lack of things to talk about, of that we can all be assured. It's mostly from a lack of knowing how to put my thoughts together to express coherent opinions about what is happening in the world right now.
In case you hadn't noticed things are a little crazy. So, I'm gonna touch on something other than the presidential debate. We my friends are going to talk conspiracy theory!
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HP7L8bw5QF4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't really have much to follow after that because I feel like it explains what is happening in the world pretty clearly. However I do want to clarify that the video is not saying America needs to change, but that the American people need to freaking wake up and stop our government before they run our country into the ground and I think we can all agree with that.

Michelle Obama and the quest for a healthier tomorrow
I like the sound of the title it almost sounds like an obnoxious book that Michelle Obama would probably write. I'm not gonna take this time out to jab at Michelle for her huge hips and gigantic butt enough people have already done that. But I am gonna take some time to point out some failed PR. How in the world can you have a campaign for healthier kids and then openly admit that french fries are your favorite food? That's like a vegan saying "oh I hate meat and no one else should eat meat, but I just can't control myself around bacon." Maybe I'm a little too upset about this because even the healthiest people have their vices. However, as a person who has already set themselves up for so much trash talking, Why would you add fuel to that fire? Did she not learn from the tamale incident?
If I were going to advocate for healthier kids then I would expect to be held above reproach in my actions, which means I would do everything possible to make the world think of me as a healthy peron. Do you see Michelle Obama as a healthy person? Do you even see her family as healthy people? Because I sure don't her oldest daughter looks anorexic, the youngest one looks like she raided the pantry for everything it had, and her husband looks like a crack head (oh wait) .
I am aware that hypocrisy is everywhere and that no one is perfect, but for pete's sake could someone please explain to me how you can be pro health and look so unhealthy?

The thing about scholarships
So at the ripe age of 22 I am making my way back into college. Yay! And after doing a bunch of research on scholarship all I have to say is Lord help you if you are a straight white male who didn't play sports all through high school. The only redeeming factor I have in my search for scholarships is that I'm a woman. Then there's the freaking FAFSA! good grief even though I have lived on my own for the past 4 years, and my parents have no intention of helping me through college, I still have to put their income on the papers and if their income is over x amount well then sucks for me because I'm not getting any help from the government. Not that I want help from the government to go to college it's my choice to go back. However, if I did it is a very ridiculous thought to expect my parents to pay for my college because they make x amount of dollars. That is just another example of how the government discriminates against people who do well for themselves.
Okay now that that little tangent is out of the way, back to scholarships. There are scholarships for everything from left handed people all the way to full ride scholarships simply because you graduated from a certain high school. So could somebody please tell me why there are very few conservative scholarships?! ( I was only able to find one and even then it was for republican women only.) Which got me thinking, how awesome would it be if right wing bloggers offered college scholarships? I know most bloggers work off donations so it's a little far fetched, but how funny would it be if someone said hey my scholarship came from angrywhitedude, or hey I wrote in the winning essay to atlas shrugs and they are sending me to college. I dunno maybe it's only funny and ironic in my head, but it really frustrates me that a conservative colleges student only option for help with college is government aid, their parents, or to save up tons of money to go on our own. And then we wonder why the colleges are so infested with liberal idiots that are brainwashing students. HELLO it's because liberals are out there recruiting other liberals to come to their liberal college.
Maybe I'm completely wrong in this and if I am someone tell me, but how can conservatives expect a young vote when they're doing nothing to reach out to young voters? I know this comes out sounding like a give me free stuff and I'll do your bidding type thing, and that's not what I'm going for at all. I just really feel like the right has written off todays youth, and I know that there are tons of us out there that just want to prove to y'all that you're not leaving the world to a bunch of liberal morons.

Do Re Mi Fa Sol....
Anyone ever read the definition of music?
The bing dictionary states that music is "sounds that produce effect: sounds, usually produced by instruments or voices, that are arranged or played in order to create an effect." So if by that definition music is created to cause an effect, how is music effecting you? I just read an article not to long ago where scientist did a study on todays music culture and it showed that music has devolved from a very complex nature to a state where new songs especially in the pop genre are more bland and louder. I'm sure that anyone who listens to the radio can tell you that, but here's the link to the article if you're interested http://www.nme.com/news/various-artists/65153 .
At the risk of sounding like a hipster. Here's my main question if music is meant to have an effect, but has been shown to be more bland and homogeneous (my big fancy word for the day) then what kind of effect is it having on our society? I firmly believe that music is one of the number one things that shape children and teenagers, and the fact that songs like "Call me maybe" which make no sense are being ranked number one on charts, or that nicki minaj can put out a song that's only lyric is "you a stupid ho" speaks volumes.
And if we think that mainstream media is biased and has an agenda, is it a huge jump to think that mainstream music is biased and has an agenda? There are so many new and amazing venues in music so why is it that when you turn the radio on to any station you are guaranteed to hear the same songs over and over? Even on the oldies stations you're pretty much assured to hear blondie, the beatles, and at least 10 ac/dc songs and nothing more. There's is so much more out there in the music realm so why is mainstream music putting us in this small little box where you have to hear adele every hour on the hour? Could it be that mainstream music has the same agenda as mainstream media? keeping the poplulation dumbed down and in a trance of simple music where the song has no meaning and requires little thought to comprehend.
With that being said I'd like to show case some of todays' new genre's of music that are not mainstream music and you will never hear on the radio, but in my personal opinion are very good. All you who grew up with led zepplin and the Beegies probably won't be impressed, but at least check it out so you can confirm that you don't like it.
first we've gotta post the song that the blog is named after it's considered math metal and is pretty heavy so if you're not into that I highly recommend just looking up the lyrics.
http://youtu.be/9IiP-Vdx_F8
Next a new and upcoming genre is dubstep. This is much softer, but it should be known that dubstep is like the best work out music ever)
http://youtu.be/r8T-mUUuaWo
Then there's indie style music. This genre is an awesome alternative to pop because it's upbeat but the lyrics still mean something and it's not all lip syncing)
http://youtu.be/y6jDW6SOlnQ
There is even such a thing as alternative hip hop. This band gorillaz is pretty interesting because it doesn't actually exist. yay virtual bands!
http://youtu.be/RF9fqx4H_Cg
Alternative rock this genre has been around for awhile but there are some new names out there that are pretty good. (btw this song is freaking amazing and should be the theme for the tea party)http://youtu.be/w8KQmps-Sog
Those are just a few new genres there are tons more out there I'm sure. I hope you enjoy listening and serioulsy consider how music around you is effecting the things you do!

The nitty gritty
Alright we're just gonna jump into the hard issues because this is one that is near to my heart. And the issue is *insert drum roll here* abortion!
Honestly if you want to kill your child that's fine and dandy, but let's get some things straight. First I really don't feel like the argument "it's my body i can do what I want" is really a good one because it may be your body, but half of that little zygote inside you belongs to the guy who you did the dirty with, so it's technically a part of him as well. Shouldn't he have some say as to what happens to his half of the zygote?
Second, Abortion is not now nor will it ever be a political issue it will always and forever be a social issue. Therefore, it has no place being talked about by the federal government. It should be up to the states to decide whether abortion is legal or illegal and even then taxpayers should not be expected to pay for a personal choice. This is probably going to upset someone, but even in the circumstance of rape it is your decision to have an abortion. I am not in any way shape or form obligated to support,or pay for your decisions.
Third, and this is probably the most important one. The declaration of Independence clearly states that every human being is guaranteed the pursuit of life liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Life being the very first one of those! How can a person be so selfish to deny life of another human being simply because you don't want to deal with the 9 months of being pregnant. How dare you take away the basic human right of living? I know that there are a lot more issues around abortion, but my rights end where another persons begin. So yes it may be your body, but until you can prove without any doubt that the thing growing in your belly is not a human being then you have no right to take away it's right to life.
I don't know, I'm starting to ramble and will probably start repeating myself if I don't stop now, but thats just some food for thought.

Opening Remarks
Welcome to the first post on The Irrational Gaze blog spot. A place where hopefully I can form a coherent thought that expresses my opinion, and many others on everything from politics, to cooking to music, but mostly politics. I know another dreaded political blog !!! and to make matters worse another CONSERVATIVE political blog. Oh the horror! Actually we're gonna try and keep this thing as close to the Constitution as possible. So we'll call it a constitutional politcal blog, and if that happens to put it on the conservative side of things well then poop on the liberals. With that being said I'm gonna post a link of the bill of rights, and you can look through it and if you disagree with anything that's written in there then feel free to move onto the socialist agenda website, or whatever else you can find. Because If you don't agree with that then you're probably not gonna agree with much else on here.
I hope everyone who stops by enjoys their time here and I'll keep the opinions, laughs, and all around good times rolling!
